Crystal River Springs
Manatee Swim
  • People from all around the world come to snorkel with manatees in Crystal River. For just $45.00, all gear is included, mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit. You will embark on one of our covered, U. S. Coast Guard inspected boats for the most amazing in water experience; to swim with the manatees. Our in water guides, all U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captains, will take you into the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge to the best locations for viewing and snorkeling with these friendly, curious and slow moving and gentle giants.
  • When you arrive to our tour center we will watch a brief video about the manatees, go over the rules of swimming with the manatees, and insure that you receive the proper information on how to interact in a manner that is fun for both you and the manatees. We then fit you for a wetsuit to prepare you for your snorkeling adventure. We have wetsuits of all sizes from toddler (2 years old and up) to adult 5X. Our swim with the manatee tours are conducted daily year round. Please call or book online to reserve your seats today. We do accept walk-ins upon availability but reservations are highly suggested to insure availability.
  • We offer two manatee swim tour times daily in the warmer months and 3 in the colder months. Early morning hours are always the best time to swim with the manatees. These times are scheduled for maximum interactions. All tours are approximately 3 hours from the time you board the boat until it returns. Our "in water" tour guides will photograph the highlights of your entire manatee swim tour from start to finish, both above and below the water. Upon returning to our manatee tour center, a high-resolution picture CD containing images from your manatee tour will be available for you to purchase if desired.

Homosassa Springs
Wildlife Park
  • Homosassa Springs has several ecological communities represented including wetlands, hydric hammock, spring-run streams and a second-magnitude spring. Sabal palms, live oaks, loblolly pines, southern magnolias and wax myrtles are just some of the wide variety of native trees and plants that can be found in the park.
  • Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park offers visitors a rare opportunity to observe Florida’s native wildlife in natural settings. Visitors may stroll along paved trails and boardwalks to see manatees, black bear, bobcats, key deer, alligators, gray fox, otters and cougars at close range. Many varieties of birds, from colorful wood ducks and roseate spoonbills to majestic birds of prey, herons and egrets and a Whooping Crane, also make Homosassa Springs their home.
  • A huge spring, from which millions of gallons of fresh, clear water bubble every hour, is the centerpiece of this park and the headwaters of the Homosassa River. Saltwater and freshwater fish are attracted to this large, natural spring with its comfortable, year-round temperature of 72 degrees. Thirty-four varieties of fish have been identified in the spring.
  • One of the most interesting encounters at this natural attraction is the floating observatory, where you can go under water to view the thousands of fish and Florida’s endangered manatees. Homosassa Springs is one of the only places in the world where manatees may be observed at close range 365 days a year.
